happy new year 2011

well... it's the last day of year 2010, and i'm quite happy with what i have done throught out the year 2010. changed a new working environment etc.. and its a pity that i do not have much music production going on this year.

for those who party till late night, please drive carefully... don't get yourself drunk as you might knocked somebody up when u're driving.

happy new year to everyone... may there be a good 2011 ahead of us.. :)

i'm quite surprise to find FL studio actually made itself to apple computers...

and no.. it's not on a mac pro, or mac machines, it's on ipads!!!

from the vid, i think it would be great to use it as a replacement 4x4 pad... if you don't have one...

most of tweaks are from blogger's template, just select one which i like the most and tweak it a little to make my blog have a fresh look ;)

a new instrument: airpiano

this is some kinda cool instrument in music scene. this instrument is called 'airpiano', where users played the instruments without phisically touching it...

this instruments contains 8 arrays of sensors detecting hand movements above it. the sensor allows user to use it as fader or filter as well. which is similar to a midi controller but the input is by using your hand movement above the instrument.

jo hamilton, the first musician whom got her hands on this prototype. here's a video of her using it...



the song is simply beautiful.

this video demonstrates how it is used to play as an instrument.




this instrument seems to be able to sync with ableton live, watch video below.



i wonder if it works on FL studio too.. hmm...

i haven't really take some time and look into the new coming iphone 4 yet... browse around youtube and i come accross this video...



something i dont really get it...
1. face to face conference over the phone... ain't we had it like few years back???
2. 30 fps video recording... nokia had done it like .. years back...
3. LED flash at the back of the phone... my 2006 pda phone had this function too.

these are the cool things which they have actually brought up as 'new features'... well.. it is new features if it is compared to the first generation iphone, iphone 3g etc... to me, those technology are like existed years back...

i think the only cool thing is that it support HD video recording... which so far i haven't heard of any phone that could record HD videos..

i bet the next coming iphone would come with new features like
- auto focus camera
- voice dail

pipe burst in jalan university causes 3 cars damage

yesterday evening while i was on my way back, there was this massive heavy traffic jam at jalan university.

i was stuck on a 1km jam for like an hour. it was a bumper to bumper slow moving traffic.

there was this road block, and a car next to me told me that there were a taxi involving some accident like 2km ahead. dude.. is that accident so serious till the police have to block a 2 lane road?

until this morning i googled about it, and to my shock...

a pipe underneath the road (which was just being installed last week, or repaired) burst, tossing a nissan sunny 130y 10 meters into the air, and falls to the opposite side of the road, while another 2 cars were involved inthe accident as well. the burst created a sinkhole as deep as 4.5 meters.

all drivers were injured, and sent to hospital university. hopefully no one got seriously injured

that is scary. appearantly there were no taxi accidents...

earth hour is 1 hour away...

people accross the world turned off thier lights to show that the awareness towards the need to take action on climate change

i am actually on my way back home from some where during that hour. i will definately switch off the light if i would reach home within that hour...

a step by step tutorial teaching you how to make your own DEADMAU5 helmet!!! this is amazing..

all u need is:
- 13" hamster ball
- A yard of red felt
- Hardhat
- White silk (make sure you can see through it)
- 6 sheets of stick on red felt
- 2 12" 3mm BIRCH BALTIC wood plates (NOT BALSA)
- Hard styrofoam ball
- Steel mesh
- Dremel rotary tool with cutting wheel
- Safety glasses
- Hot Glue Gun with sticks
- Spray on Tacky glue
- Regular Tacky glue
- Duct Tape
- Masking Tape
- Sandpaper
- Cutting Board
- Hobby knife
- fabric scissors
- Philips screwdriver
- Paper
- Dark colored sharpie
- Compass




with a lot of time (i guess) you could make yourself your very own deadmau5 helmet.

I've got this song done using FL6. A complete birthday song only last about 30-40 seconds, so in order to get it into a full length track, i need to add in some of my own verse into it.

i'm quite satisfy with my composition of this track, but some how i still never satisfy about the production level of this track.

woke up early at 4 am in the mornin, then had a light breakfast before heading off to broga from kl.

just uploaded Our Fate (rework 2009) on youtube. spent hours tryin to figure out why the out come of the sound quality was bad. in the end i realise that i have to click on the 'HQ' for high quality video, which means better sound quality..

defaultly youtube will load a lower quality video for faster download. where some people whom with lower bandwidth or slower internet connection might find it useful.

took me a while to get use to windows movie maker, since i got my windows movie maker tamplete done, i will upload more of my stuffs to youtube pretty soon. :)
